Orolia is a leading contributor in the design, development and deployment of the aviation industry’s next generation emergency management system known as GADSS (Global Aeronautical Distress Safety System). To allow operators to comply with the GADSS requirements for the autonomous tracking of aircraft in distress as well as other emerging aviation safety initiatives linked to lithium batteries, Orolia has designed two ELT systems in the Ultima-DT and Ultima-S.

The Kannad Ultima-DT is a fixed Emergency Locator Transmitter – Distress Tracking type, designed to meet the ICAO GADSS ADT requirement which will be applicable in January 2023.

Kannad Integra ER

Operating independently of the aircraft, the back-up antenna will transmit your position through the 406MHz frenquency to the Cospas-Sarsat search and rescue satellites. This version is the Extended Range (ER) of the AP INTEGRA which operates from -40°C to +55°C

Integra ER (N)

The Kannad Integra ELT offers the highest level of resiliency through an innovative backup antenna design. Operating independently of the aircraft, the back-up antenna will transmit your position through the 406 MHz frequency to the Cospas-Sarsat search and rescue satellites. This version is the Extended Range (ER-N) of the Integra AF ER which includes the ARINC e-nav module.

The Kannad 406 AF ELT transmits through 3 frequency (121.5/243/406MHz), designed to be installed near the tail and to be connected to an outside antenna. A sophisticated “shock sensor” will activate the Kannad 406 AF automatically in the event of an impact.
