Orolia has been selected by the European Commission on several occasions to coordinate the development and commercialization of Galileo related applications:
- GEARS Poject – Orolia was selected by the European Global Satellite Navigation Systems Agency (GSA) to develop a resilient time and frequency server to protect critical GNSS-relient systems: The Galileo Authenticated Robust timing System 9GEARS). This project is ongoing.
- Helios Project – Orolia was selected by the European Global Satellite Navigation Systems Agency (GSA) to lead the development of next generation search and rescue distress beacons. The Helios project is designed to introduce a complete range of Next-Generation beacons ot the market, including the first Emergency Locator Transmitter compliant with ICAO’s GADSS Autonomous Distress Tracking requirements.
- Tauceti Project – Orolia was selected by the European Global Satellite Navigation Systems Agency (GSA) to lead the development of Survival ELT (ELT-S) beacons. The project led to the launch of the world’s first aviation survival ELT successfully tested with Galileo Return Link Service.
